On Monday, December 8 at 7pm, four award-winning New York favorites KT Sullivan, Stacy Sullivan, Jeff Harnar, and Todd Murray, will bring We Love the Winter Weather to the Birdland stage. Joining the singers will be with music director Jon Weber. The group will present an eclectic and entertaining holiday cabaret concert, which will include material by songwriters Irving Berlin, Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne, Carol Hall, Danny Apolinar, David Friedman and Mel Torme. The seasonal spotlight shines musically on traditional favorite as well as “Grandma,” Elvis, Peggy Lee and a “short attention span theater” retelling of the Holiday film classic “White Christmas,” with the quartet donning the roles of Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Vera Ellen and Danny Kaye. KT Sullivan was Lorelei Lee in the Broadway revival of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and appeared at The Irish Rep in Love Noel with Steve Ross. She is an internationally acclaimed cabaret artist, currently in residence at The Algonquin Hotel, and is the Artistic Director of The Mabel Mercer Foundation. Together with Jeff Harnar, they have appeared at 54 Below and on PBS in Live From NJPAC: A Steven Sondheim Songbook and Remember: Songs of the Holidays.

On Monday, December 15 at 7pm, nouveau vaudevillian Bryce Edwards will storm the stage with his critically acclaimed Frivolity Hour! Join in the excitement of Birdland’s favorite crooning troubadour, as he shares his original brand of hot traditional jazz and early 20th-century popular music, playing all the lush serenades and hot novelties you never knew you always wanted to hear.

Get ready to laissez les bons temps rouler as Julie Benko marches her band out at Birdland once again. Her critically acclaimed annual Mardi Gras blowout returns—and this time, it’s an album release party! The jubilant celebration of New Orleans jazz features Julie’s sizzling hot band EuphonicGumbo, including Jason Yeager (piano, arrangements), Linus Wyrsch (reeds), AndyWarren (trumpet), Ron Wilkins (trombone), Michael O’Brien (bass), Jay Sawyer(drums), and special guest John Manzari (tap dance). Join the parade—nobody, no, nobody’s going to rain on this one! Julie Benko joined the annals of theatrical lore for her sensational understudy-to-star trajectory as Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl. Between her tenure as the standby, alternate, and full-time Fanny, she played the role over 180 times and received numerous accolades for her interpretation, including Theatre World’s Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theatre.
